Castro Street Fair

UGh. more like the parade of ex tricks of cracked out past. yup. that's it. i was there for less than an our. saw way to many old fuck buddies and went home. the only good part about the fair was the walk home. A thousand times different from the week before. they really should just cancel the Castro fair. if i wanted a bunch of crappy nick knacks i would go to the east bay. If i wanted to be harassed by HIV organizations i would volunteer again. What is it with these orgs. the people they should be reaching out to "IE: Me a hooker" they can't, because they are so out of touch with the reality of the sex industry. And no i'm not just babbling, Ive volunteered for The Stop AIDS Project, and others for many years. in-fact i volunteered for SAP way back when i first starting having sex. before drugs, before porn, before it all. if they could not impact there weekly volunteers enough to not engage in risky behavior, then how can the impact a person they harass on the street to take a survey. FYI those surveys they ask you to take about your sex life are just to get them money. each one that is filled out they receive money for from the CDC and other agencies. In fact when i was on the other side of the clipboard, i spent a fair amount of time filing out bogus forms just to help meet their quotas. I'm sure they have saved many lives, but they haven't saved mine. I still support SAP and various other org today and will continue to, because i do believe they make an impact of the naive.
I believe they should focus more on the positive community rather than the negative. They do a much better job educating positive people, then they do negative people.
